Who that Copy Cat

Hey there

So a co-worker of mine had a wedding to go to and she sent me 2 pictures and asked if I could recreate them. This was one.

The look consisted basically of white, black and silver.

This is the picture that she sent to me, I don't know where she got it so I can't give credit.

This is my recreation.

I should tell you I have very shakey hands when it comes to doing nail art but I think I passed. What do you think, Did I nail it or at least come close to it?

Baker

I am a jack of most trades and I love to bake, unfortunately when I bake there is no one to eat so I gave up on making too many desserts. However when a friend of mine asked me to make her daughter a cake for her third birthday I jumped at the chance. She sent me a picture of what she was looking for and as you can see, she loves Minnie.

Top view

For the cake I made a victorian sponge cake and between the layers are buttercream. Covering it  all off with Marshmellow fondant. (yum yum) and little figurines of the Disney Playhouse characters.

This cake was so much fun to make and the end result so colourful and beautiful, I absolutely loved it and so did little Shania who did not want anyone even touching her precious cake. Everything on this cake is edible except for the figurines and the skewers which held her name.

I am by no means a professional but I do love the bake and I am still perfecting the decorating part.

Orange and White with Butterflies

I planned to wear this mani with a dress I bought (see pic below) but ended up not wearing it. It turned out the weather was too rainy to dress this casual.

Back to the main course.
The dresss had shades of green, orange, pink and well white, so I did just a orange and white mani.

Tips in white then just under it a line of orange and to highlight the colours a bit more I added black lines and of course butterfly stickers and some studs.

I was nice. What do you think. Would you like to see how simple this is to recreate?

Leave me a message and let me know.

Pink Lace

I am so not too much a fan of the girly girl things in life but I have to admit I really do love this polish. This is VANILLA CUPCAKE a scented polish from Kleancolor. I reminds me alot of Jordana's Strwberry Marmalde but a little lighter. Somethings I have no inspiration but then again sometimes I do a design and it just blows my mind at how something so simple can look so elegant.

I did simple criss cross lines using my white striper polish and added some dots just along the lines and it looked so dainty that it reminded me of lace patterns and I really wanted to try to do lace patterns.

I'm actually uploading these pictures from my phone which is why they have not been rotated or cropped or anything so please excuse them.

I would like to do a video for this look since it is so simple. What do you guys think.
Comment and let me know if you would like to see a tutorial on how to accomplish this look.

LA Colors - Neons

Good morning

I recently went to Wonderful World and I saw LA Colors had some new polishes or is it that Wonderful World actually restocked.
Anyway I pick up these 2 beauties and decided to wear them together.

This is the Pink and it's called PINK BUBBLES, that is such a cute fun name.

And this is the green which is sort of a mint green and this is called PEPPY.
I can't saw where they found the name for theses polishes but they are just so cute sounding. Here I am wearing 2 coats and they seem pretty opaque but then again i put on thick coats. They dried well since i let them sit between coats and the both went on smoothly. I like them.

Share your views with me.

Influenster - Aveeno

Hi there

I have been procrastinating so much to do this blog post mainly because I had gotten this about 1 month ago and it was just there sitting on my shelf. Influenster is a site that basically does voxboxes of items and you fill out a survey and if you are a good match you just might be lucky to receive a box. Now the thing with this is that you are required to review the products that you receive and they check up on you because there are certain places you have to share your review so that they know for sure you did one.

So since I received the Aveeno Positively Radiant - Targeted Tone Corrector I'm doing a review on it.

I took it off my shelf about 1 week ago and read it through and decided to give it a try. It has the feeling of a face primer and it says that it is supposed to fade the look of dark spots and uneven tones. I can honestly say that it works. I have acne scarring and with my skin it leaves horrible dark spots so I tried it and I have really seen an improvement. I even had a scar on my chest and i have seen that fading as well.

The pictures below is what it looks like, it has 1.1 fl oz which is 32 ml. I am guessing that it is a full size of the product.

I really like the feel of the product on my skin and it is not oily, it leaves your skin matte.

Disclaimer - I received this product complimentary through Influenster for review

Striping Tape Tips

Have you ever tried using striping tape. Well I can say I have and it it darned hard to use especially if you have shakey hands like me. At this time I had no tips I basically had nubs but really wanted it to have to illusion of tips. For the base coat it looks like China Glaze - Elephant Walk. For the tip I used a white striper polish and also a gold and a yellow striping tape

I blurred the picture a bit so you can see the glitters .
Hope you guys like this, sweet and simple.

On another note I recently added revamped by bloglovin account but somehow my feeds just don't seen to be updating. Sorry about that since i'm not sure what the real problem is behind that.

Brown and White

It would seem that I am on a something and white streak right now. Most of my manis are white and something. :).

I had bought some new polishes from China Glaze and I used 2 of them here. 1  is the base coat though I can't think of the name but the other was the tips and the name of that is X. and I literally mean X. I would like to beliedve they call it X since it is a really hard to describe the colour. One coat will have you thinking it is a sort of browny colour but 2 coats are a really dark chocolate brown with gold shimmer. Head out to the sun and it is a striking burgundy with gold shimmer.

My initial intention was a gradient but it didn't work out too well. Hope you still like it though.

Random Black and White

Good morning

This design just happened on a day that I was seriously bored, but needed to do my nails. I had no inspiration and I had polished my nails black and just wanted something to stand out on it. As you can see the design is indeed random there is nothing tying them together except the colour.

My version of Tribal Print

Happy August

I can't believe how fast this year is flying by. Let's get into this, so I used a purple from Jordana which (surprise, surprise) I can't remember the name. Then I did some random lines and dots and I found that it looked alot like a tribal print ergo my version of tribal print.

to many people it may not be much tribal but it can still pass. So I hope you like it.

Red and Gold

After my black and gold I decided to try red and gold. I was going to do a gradient but I just was not feeling it so I did my whole nail in Santee Dark Red and the tips in Gold and even added some white to sort of show off the tips.

This particular red stains really bad so I didn't keep on this mani for a long time 3 days was enuf. Hope you enjoyed this.

XOXO
